Photographers, what is your all time favourite image that you have created? For me, it is this one of Mark and Vanessa shot at Cala Estreta for their destination wedding in Catalonia in 2018. I say this for two reasons – the way I felt at the time of creating it, and the way it makes me feel when I view this image. It was the perfect afternoon. The sun was shining, not too hot, and this was the first time I had discovered Cala Estrata … a wild beach in the north east of Spain seemingly hidden from the tourist herds. Mark and Venessa had experienced a bit of turbulence in the days building up to the wedding and to see them relax and thoroughly immerse themselves in the shoot and the surrounding beauty really inspired me and my creativity. I’m a risk taker with some of my ideas and although I took a bit of a battering whilst shooting this frame, it never fails to excite me when I look back on it.
