Weddings in the Lake District make me happy and Lake District wedding photography makes me even happier. I grew up in the North West of England and the Lake District was never that far away. I never take the place for granted, it’s simply magical. A micro world of magical lakes, forests, fells, and quaint villages here and there. The place is good for your soul and we use it as a place to escape the mayhem of life. I can’t think of a better place in the world to get married in. Louise and James chose the incredible Langdale Chase Hotel as their wedding venue. This really is a stunning venue. Perched on the shores of Lake Windermere not far from the cute village of Ambleside, it boasts some of the most amazing views I’ve ever seen from any wedding venue around the world.
I was really looking forward to being Louise and James’ wedding photographer at the Langdale Chase. Not just because this is my favourite area of England, but also because these guys were just so damned chilled and fun! I honestly haven’t laughed so much at a wedding in a long time, and that’s saying something.
