This is the story of Kerry and Al’s wedding at The West Mill in Derby. I’ve shot a few weddings at the West Mill in Derby and it is quickly becoming a venue that ranks highly on my hot list. This venue attracts couples from all over the country and it is easy to see why … the historical old mill consists of 4 huge open plan spaces all dedicated to a different part of the day. The top floor for the ceremony, the bottom floor for welcome drinks, the second floor for the party, and the third floor for the meal. Each floor at the West Mill is styled in its own unique way and the grounds surrounding are just perfect for group shots, mingling, and bride and groom portraits. When Kerry and Al first asked me to be their West Mill wedding photographer my ears instantly pricked … I couldn’t wait to return to this freakin awesome wedding venue. Kerry and Al said their I DO’s at St Mary’s Church in Derby … the sun was blazing all day and Kerry looked striking in her Jesus Peiro wedding dress. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of being their wedding photographer at The West Mill in Derby and I’m excited to return to this very unique wedding venue.
